Andrea has over 12 years of professional experience, three years as the principle of his design firm before teaming up with Jeannie S. Lee and Simone Pagani to found Emergent Vernacular Architecture in 2015.
After graduating with a Master of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 2005, Andrea worked six years on large-scheme projects for few renowned practices, which include Bennetts Associates in London and Massimiliano Fuksas Architects in Rome. He entered the Haitian humanitarian design sector in 2011 working with international organisations such as Global Communities, J/P HRO and American Red Cross. He has extensive experience in running and delivering humanitarian projects with a focus on community-based participatory design.
Since he returned to London in 2016, he has been working on projects in Haiti and Lebanon, as well as several competitions in London. His written work regarding the potential role of Architecture within the refugees' crisis framework was published in the Public Journal.
He is a UK registered architect since 2015, and member of RIBA since 2016.
